PROPULSING A CURATION OF UPCOMING TALENTS

KLEITON BASSI

HE/HIM
BR

Kleiton Bassi is a São Paulo born audiovisual artist, new media creator, VJ and sound system builder. His work lives in the spaces where rhythm meets image, where memory becomes light.

For over two decades, Kleiton has been creating within underground music and art scenes, blending technical precision with an instinct for community and collaboration. His performances unfold like living systems, immersive, tactile and deeply connected to the energy of the crowd.

Through projects like Obrigado Sound System, OBRA, Human Afterall and now Amplifica, he explores how diasporic identity, sound, new media and technology can merge into new collective languages. He also contributes to Threads Radio in London, supporting community-driven broadcasting and underground creative exchange.

Whether behind a screen, a mixer or a wall of speakers, Kleiton’s practice amplifies connection, turning frequencies, visuals and shared experience into one resonant pulse.

W.H.Y

THEY/THEM
UK

W.H.Y. is an experimental archival project celebrating activists, political figures, theorists, and those that continue to prop up community and social movements, from Black, queer, feminist activists, psychogeography, witches and folklore storytelling, to overlooked working class histories and popular culture. Utilising analogue synthesizers, W.H.Y. translates this practice and research into a somatic and intra-spatial experience for the audience.

The first body of work under W.H.Y. is called ‘A Litany of Survival’: an experimental live a/v performance integrating the use of video synthesisers, archival footage, dronescapes and synthesised techno beats, combined with vocals referencing horror, satire and rage.

‘A Litany for Survival’ takes inspiration from Audre Lorde’s poem of the same title. Lorde (a self-described “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet) describes the constant fear that marginalised communities experience in a prejudiced society, and the way such relentless fear can silence any dissenting voices. In the work and performance, you hear writing and voice respond to Lorde’s work with breaths and screams and haunted spoken word over layers of modular synth beats with sharp hi-hats and snares, exploring psychogeography via sound design.

C’EZ BON

HE/HIM/THEY/THEM
BR

C’ez Bon is a Brazilian-born DJ with a dynamic and diverse sound, rooted in house, disco, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, infused with a deep understanding and appreciation for Brazilian and Latin genres. Having started his journey in 2010, C’ez Bon has played at some of the most iconic venues in Brasília, including Victoria Haus, Mimosa, and La Ursa, before relocating to London in 2014, where he took a transformative hiatus.

In 2022, C’ez Bon returned to the DJ scene with a refreshed outlook, reconnecting with the underground queer culture that has long influenced his artistic expression. Known for his eclectic sets and uplifting energy, C’ez Bon continues to push boundaries, both musically and socially, with performances in key venues like Dalston Superstore, The Carpet Shop and his own Carnival party in Brazil, ‘Virilha Suada’ and now ‘Club Bodega’ in London.

His music is a celebration of freedom, unity, and the rhythms that connect us all. His deep connection to Afro-Brazilian sounds, particularly the rhythms of funk carioca, cumbia, and tropicalia, allows him to experiment freely with styles, bringing an organic and celebratory feel to every performance. Each set is a journey that transcends genres, combining elements of the underground with mainstream influences while staying true to his roots. The result is a seamless blend of music that inspires movement and emotional connection.
